Enter the 2026 Writing and Art Contest!

Our 2026 youth Writing and Art Contest kicks off on March 1st! We would love to see your best poetry and/or artwork.

What are the contest dates? The contest runs from March 1, 2026 to April 11, 2026.

Who is eligible to enter? Participants must reside in the United States, including Hawai'i, Alaska, and the District of Columbia. The winning prize will NOT be mailed internationally. Contestants can enter into 4 age groups:

6 and under
7-11 years
12-15 years
16-18 years

Participants under 18 years of age will need parental/guardian permission.

How do I enter? Please download the entry forms by scanning the QR codes on the flyers or by directly downloading the files below.

Disclaimer: All entries are subject to review and approval. Children's Literature Hawai'i reserves the right to decline entries that do not meet the contest guidelines.
